This map prominently features all of the city’s spectacular, historical sights together with a simple, blue-line overlay of the Paris Metro routes and stations. Looking for Hemingway, Fitzgerald, or Picasso? Try the Pigalle Station. This map is set in a modern black frame which encapsulates the Art Deco-style landscape colored in vibrant pink, mint green, pale blue and classic gold. This is a large 22” x 30” map in very good,

During the 1880’s and 1890’s, many itinerant, but talented, artists travelled throughout America painting bird’s-eye-views of America’s emerging cities. Our auction item is a colored reproduction of one such emerging city: Oak Cliff, Texas. The original city view was commissioned by the Dallas Land and Loan Company in October 1890 to promote land sales in Oak Cliff. The view is seen from the “new” Court House in Dallas toward Oak Cliff. The poster also shows vignettes of the Oak Cliff Hotel, a “Public School Building” – likely the proposed Oak Cliff High School, and a “View in Park” – likely depicting Lake Cliff. And, don’t miss reading the text – it’s a hoot! This poster rests in a simple 16” x 20” black frame. This is “must have” for the true Oak Cliff aficionado. Value $30.
